ABOUT
Kiersten Moser, although not from a musical family, developed a profound love for music early in her life. Her childhood was enriched by a diverse range of genres, including world music, electronica, nu metal, and numerous artists from the 80s and 90s.
At eleven, she joined her middle school orchestra as a violist. Within a year, she realized that music would be a pivotal part of her life and a professional journey. By the age of twelve, she began composing, which led her to the Barthelmes Conservatory, where she studied violin from 2007 to 2012. In 2012, she received a full scholarship to The University of Tulsa, studying under violinist Maureen O’Boyle and composer Roger Price, earning a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance.
Currently, Kiersten performs with the Signature Symphony at TCC and occasionally with the Tulsa and Bartlesville Symphonies, in addition to freelancing for weddings and special events. She continues to compose and write songs, working with various local and international artists, including the Signature Quartet, David Broome, The Makers Out, and KDMQ.
From 2019 to 2021, she showcased both original and co-composed works at the OK Electric Festival and the Signature Symphony’s Connecting the Dots series. During the pandemic, she and David Broome launched doom.kit, a musical performance duo that explores sound through electronics, creating unique psycho-acoustic experiences. Their debut album, Happiness and Truth, was released in June 2023.
